Militants = Anarchists

this past few weeks i have been watching the news about the issue of a senate-less constitutional assembly and they nearly succeeded in pushing through with it. enter the militant groups and the so called civil society. for the longest time, i am very disappointed with these gang bangers always messing around our nation. they always claim they are fighting the vested interests of these politicians. i think otherwise. all they did is to create chaos and inflame the passion of the people by being warmongers.

clearly, all these militants want is to create chaos all the time in the hope of bringing down the government. thats their only goal ever since. that my friends is communism at work. the bolsheviks did the same in Russia. they always held rallies and demonstrations until the government gradually disintegrated, ushering in the century of socialism and communism. every time i see the militant leaders throwing scathing remarks at our government officials, i cant help but be disgusted with the way these people are acting. if they are so sure that the government is not doing anything, why don't they offer alternatives then?if given the chance to hold public office?forgive me for being cynical but i think when they get elected, they will become the people they despis,. become corrupt officials themselves.

don't you think that this militant congressmen and leaders are really for the people? i don't think so. they are the only ones who benefit from their pork barrel..to the extent that maybe they use it to buy arms to their cadres in the mountains to sow more terror in the countryside. i cant understand why this has happened in the first place. this militant leaders, they are very good at brainwashing. they don't want their members to work properly because they want them to be poor always. otherwise, they wont have the numbers to rally and demonstrate. its plain and simple. another thing, they always try to tell these marginalized groups whom they supposedly represent that that they are being stepped upon by big businesses and they have to fight oppression.

if this kind of thinking dominates majority of the Filipinos, i grieve for this country. ito ang klarong pang aabuso at panggagamit. preying upon the weaknesses of our less fortunate and illiterate countrymen to pursue change using anarchic means. ang kakapal ng mga mukha nitong mga militanteng ito. i agree with Sec. Gonzales of the Department of Justice. these students who are also militants should be expelled from the state universities. wala nang ginawa kundi mag reklamo. ang nagpapaaral naman sa inyo ay ang sambayanang Pilipino at ito ang kabayaran na makukuha? ang palaging pagkontra at pagtutol sa kung ano ano na lamang. hindi kayo nahihiya?

other people are earning a living, breaking bones and sweating it out in working double time.. and for what? paying taxes which in turn becomes the tuition fee of state university students. wag kayong magmalinis. hindi bagay eh. if you have done something awfully good for this country, i will rest my case, but i have yet to see something worthy of recognition. prove me wrong.

The Verdict on the Subic Rape Case

Late in the afternoon, i received several texts from my pals about the decision of the Judge regarding the Subic Rape case. when i tuned in to the television, i watched the promulgation and three out of the four marines were acquitted. Lance Corporal Daniel Smith however was not as lucky. he was sentenced with reclusion perpetua or life imprisonment for the so called rape the women's group had alleged for almost a year. i personally think that this was their fight, not the victims'. she was merely as mascot for their vested interests. let me reiterate the fact that they are a bunch of hypocrites and are merely grandstanding. i point out again that when one of the Tulfo brothers approached them for help to 2 teenage girls who were raped, they said bluntly that they cant or should i say won't help them because their busy preparing for the Subic Rape case. the refusal to help the victims is itself a heinous crime. so i asked, who are the real criminals now? i thought this womens group are the vanguards of Filipina's rights against oppression and yet they did not help victims? i mean wow. they are a choosy bunch.

now, with regards to the verdict, i think it was both fair and flawed. fair because at least one of the accused was proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt to have taken advantage of Nicole's state of drunkenness. however, drunk people should be held responsible for their actions because for example, if someone is drunk and killed another person, he would go to jail for homicide. but when a woman gets drunk and do some stuff or fools around, it becomes rape? now thats something! temporary loss of sanity due to intoxication is not an excuse to pursue legal remedy for an alleged rape. hay.the things people do.

moving on, i think the judgment was flawed because i thought that the three were accessories, so they should have been sentenced as well, even for a minimum prison term. but i guess this wasn't so because if the prosecution pursued this detail, they would have lost and become the laughingstock. so all they did is to focus on daniel smith's conviction. plain and simple. lets say this was their consolation prize.

in addition, i was disgusted by the prosecution lawyer for shouting in the courtroom and i quote "this is the victory of the Filipino people and of the Filipino women".
i mean a lawyer should compose herself to be decent and respectable, not go about ranting and shouting what can be construed as militancy in action. i guess some people never change..and to think that these people who organize militant groups are schooled in our public universities using taxpayers money..or should i say the taxes i paid. so what if we ask them to repay us just a little bit of gratitude by thanking us? i can wait but i hope it will be soon. this is my personal take on the fiasco that just happened today.

Responsible Journalism - My letter to the Philippine Star

Greetings to The Employees of the Philippine Star


First of all, I would like to extend my condolences to Mr. Soliven's family and to his colleagues as well. It is such a great loss for our country that one of its most respected journalists passed away. But come to think of it, his passing should serve as an inspiration to us Filipinos. Every time I get a copy of the Star, I always look forward in reading his column. His insights and other facts give me daily doses of information that I cannot get from other broadsheets. He was my inspiration in writing opinions about current events. There was one time I got to shake his hand during one of his speaking engagements in the Ateneo about responsible journalism.

At present, I get mad at journalists who throw various accusations to the First family about their alleged corruption and abuse of authority. Even congressmen joined the ruckus. No wonder libel suits are filed by the FG. It takes simple logic why the FG is doing this. Like any other man, he just wants to protect his family. If these journalists don't have solid proof about their allegations, they might as well write something else. They always say they are the vanguards of truth and that people have the right to know, then they must prove it. Problem is these journalists always claim that the First Family does not allow them to see their bank accounts. What is there to see when there is none? The German bank even issued a certification that they do not have bank accounts in their care.

The burden of proof lies with the journalists, if they cannot prove it, it is good for nothing. Giving scathing remarks and unfounded allegations is not journalism, it is already bordering to unjust vexation and well, libel. This is where Mr. Soliven deviated and a true testament of him being a real journalist. He does not concoct stories. he wrote columns but I never read anything malicious. He did not thrash politicians and other people for that matter. That is because he does not shoot when he does not have the bullets to back it up. For me, that's the real trait of a responsible journalist. We are aware that journalists must speak the truth but please do it Right! It is after all for all our sake.

Again, I thank and salute you, Mr. Soliven. You will surely be missed by everyone.

well, after monday, i am unemployed. ill be staying home more often, another waiting game, as they say. weel let me highlight the ups and downs of being jobless.

(Pros)
1. you dont have to wake up early
2. no bosses who will keep on calling you and bugging you for your reports
3. no clients who will scold you and you cant do anything about it
4. you dont get sick that much anymore
5. eventual rest day the whole day.


(cons)
1. you dont have money!!!
2. you will get fat eventually, being a bum/couch potato most of the time
3. you will be bored to death, staring at the four corners of your room
4. your parents will always be worried -->in my case, my mom is eternally worried about us siblings being sick or not able to work
5. Finally, no work means you are wasting your time in finding out what your eally want in life, what path to take and you life's direction is..well, stagnant..

Having said above the pros and cons, i am pretty sure that you will agree with some of my reasons. however, each and every person has his/her own life and trait to deal with and as my philo class would suggest, we are the masters of our own lives.
but come to think of it, i am still fortunate to have lost a job because i have plenty of time to really think what ir eally want to do with my life, do some stuff that you think you cant or will never do and find out eventually if its a possible career choice. life is all about trial and error. we do stuff wherein we commit mistakes and we live by rectifying or modifying our actions where we made our mistake. whether you have been a martyr, constantly whine about your work or even raising your voice unexpectedly to your parent, these are just part of everyday life, your life that is. so when you have done something wrong, apologize. when you stumble, stand up again and whenever your down, always remember that theres a rainbow always after the rain. -->the last line i borrowed but it fits. as for me, well i worked for awhile because i wanted to experience the real world, i wanted to find out what working and earning is all about and i found out that it aint easy. i even learned a new phrase.."last in, first out". more like of a fastfood kitchen mantra to me.haha.

NPA - New People's Army or NOW, PINOY'S ADVERSARY?

For the longest time, NPA and its political wing, CPP-NDF has been mounting a Maoist Insurgency against the Philippine government for the past 37 years and thousands of combatants and civilians have shed blood for a cause not fit for a country still struggling from debt and political turmoil. JOMA Sison, the founder of the group, lives in exile in Utrecht, in The Netherlands. While his people are starving in the mountains pursuing the cause he had preached, he lives in luxury in a foreign country, cold climate, sufficient meals and good welfare benefits. Now, Let me ask you, is this fair? i thought communism was supposed to clamor for equal opportunities to all people but how come the leader is living lavishly? I guess this is one of the things that led to CPP-NDF's schism in the past few decades. we have heard about several prominent ex cadres who were sentenced to death by NPA's Sparrow Unit, a group supposedly tasked to eliminate dangers to the cause of Philippine Communism. who orders these killings?well, i guess we all know who. its plain common sense.

Through the years, Communism's influence have waned and it only got worse when the Soviet Union itself disintegrated and embraced capitalism in the early 90's. Even China joined the bandwagon. China is communist by name but in reality they are the world's largest capitalist economy. Going back to our country, how come they are still fighting the government for nearly four decades? they claim that the current government officials are corrupt and there is no development in the past years. How can there be any developments when the government is fighting 2 insurgents at the same time? wreaking havoc to public and even burning development projects and infrastructure? is it part of their cause to burn properties who are owned by companies who does not want to pay revolutionary taxes? i mean what is this revolutionary taxes in the first place? its just plain extortion. frequent victims of this practice is globe telecom where far flung cell-sites are burned because of Globe's refusal to pay. The latest terrorist act they have done was burning a nearly finished airport in Silay City. how can our country develop when there are idiots/bandits burning these infrastructures? hay..i can only utter the word "sayang". i think they want to keep our country underdeveloped because by doing so, they can still have recruits who are disillusioned by government's incapacity to extend the service to all Filipinos.
another thing, these claims of CPP-NDF sponsored congressmen that the government, through the military are violating the human rights of activists and militants by killing them indiscriminately. for me these are all propaganda. i personally think they are just the ones killing them, and put all the blame to the government. collateral damage as they say. i even wonder why these ex-communists (thats really who they are) were elected in the first place? for all we know they fund the movement with pork barrels they get. another thing, these "righteous scumbags" always complain about human rights, how about the soldiers and innocent civilians they rubbed out?have they considered that these people have rights as well?a good example is when Mayon was about to erupt, several soldiers were involved in evacuation proceedings when they were ambushed by the NPA. in addition, two years ago, a medical mission of the AFP was ambushed by NPA rebels in Bulacan, who were going to provide medical attention to victims of landslides brought by successive strong typhoons. how can they justify these incidents as legitimate encounters?have they considered these soldiers rights?how about the soldiers families left behind?i guess they cant even muster the word "sorry" because they are guilty. they are the foremost violators of human rights. they are cannibals in their own right. they turn to their own cadres. the purges they did are horrendous. how can they answer these truths?

these abuses are not limited to killing. the brainwashing of students in our public universities are another thing. they are being made pawns to further their sick and disgusting motives. and to think, these students who keep on fighting in a cause that is clearly distorted and destructive are funded by Filipinos who are working very hard to make ends meet,sacrificing for their families and yet their tax money are going to the education of a bunch of subversives.NOW THAT IS SUCH A WASTE.its time for you idealistic students to embrace the reality that you are just being used, your idealism is being used for a cause that has long been abandoned by the pioneers of the cause you are supposedly fighting for.

with all these statements, do you agree that the real meaning of NPA is NOW, PINOY'S ADVERSARY?well i leave it up to you, reader. feel free to express yourself.

We all have complaints about MMDA, from traffic, to erring enforcers, flooded roads and all the other small things that we can blame on them. But come to think of it, are they really that inutile that they are nominated to be abolished from the government bureaucracy? In my opinion, they don’t merit such a fate. Personally, it is the only government agency doing its job..At least properly. Even if MMDA is synonymous with the color pink, ( I guess its BF's favorite color), it does not mean that they are not doing anything. In fact, all the pink things we see help us in many ways, from directions, to road safety and even when we want to relieve ourselves of the added water weight. he he. But it saddens me to hear that Metro Mayors are clamoring for its abolition. What’s the fuss all about? It started when MMDA people started apprehending erring motorists in the mayor's turf and they are mad because they claim that MMDA's job is to monitor EDSA only, not the city streets. They argued that their city enforcers would lose their jobs if this will continue. My guess is, they don’t want to share the fines they get form their territory. Last year, they ask the Supreme Court to order MMDA to cease and desist from their apprehending duties because what they are doing is illegal. Only the LGU's have police powers and so they got their wish. The MMDA were ordered to stand down and they only monitor EDSA. The case here is, EDSA is still part of LGU's so if they got that order, then MMDA will be of no use at all. They are just a waste of taxpayer’s money then. MY MONEY. OUR MONEY. You see this is the dumbest part of the resolution. So far this is the Metro Mayors main argument.

In MMDA's defense, I present some reasons why we need to keep them.

1. The metro will be more chaotic because the LGU's have different traffic rules so its possible that a motorist can be apprehended more than twice in a day, not to mention that LGU's will never be able to cover their area responsibility. Traffic is already worse even if there are MMDA enforcers, how much more if there are none?

2. Drivers , both private and public kept complaining about abusive MMDA enforcers. Well I guess the city enforcers are abusive as well, they just like them better coz they can be bought easily. This is true for MMDA as well. But motorists should not say that the enforcers are abusive because they themselves are. Jeepneys park everywhere to get passengers, so are the buses and the private vehicles that zigzag the road carelessly. So, who is to blame? Well I guess everybody.

3. MMDA's task is not limited to traffic operations only. They are pseudo DPWH. They maintain the roads cleanliness, goes to flood prone areas to clean clogged canals, they have emergency vehicles for mishap rescue, (removing hazardous billboards?) and even towing services for conked out vehicles.

4. lastly, we need a universal ticketing method for apprehending erring motorists so that these people wont have the difficulty of where and when to get their licenses. For example, they can claim their licenses at the MMDA office, and the fines collected will be given to cities where the apprehension was made and that their enforcers must work hand in hand with their MMDA counterparts. You see, in Bangkok, Thailand's capital, there are many component cities around it, pretty much like metro manila, but they have a governor, traffic system is unified and all the mayors can be considered councilors. I think this model of governance would benefit more our country's capital rather than our prevailing system. So much infighting, greedy officials come up with just about any excuse to hamper other agencies capability to work. I mean, what is this? Is there an end to this? Of course, what I am proposing, the adoption of a provincial system for NCR, wherein there’s a NCR governor and mayors of cities as councilors to facilitate better use of our meager resources, is just wishful thinking but hopefully, we come to terms in this problem and work together for the betterment of our country. We are on a roll so far, economically. I guess we can do that socially as well.

To Chairman Bayani Fernando, I am proud and happy of the way you are handling MMDA.

How can we regain our Nationalism/Patriotism?

I have read an article about the Filipino's total lack of interest with our country. This after the author of that article saw the UAAP Finals between the Ateneo and the UST. He wondered why we can easily identify ourselves with our alma mater whereas we cant do so with our country?
one of the reasons he gave was there was nothing interesting with our country's current affairs to begin with. puro lang daw bangayan and investigations on who got the money, who is corrupt, the country's economy is improving blah blah and lastly, there's the question of GMA's legitimacy to rule. that issue has been trashed twice already..give it a rest. di tayo dapat maging hypocrites. buti sana if the opposition have some sort of solution to give us should they succeed in uprooting GMA from the presidency. i guess wala. they just want to grab power. so forgive us (yuppies)and most of the college communities across the country if we are apathetic.we are happy to rally behind our schools because at least may patutunguhan yung contest like UAAP games. he he. moving on, i want to ask this question. if this is our current state, how can we change it? or how can we regain our nationalism/patriotism?
my solutions are kinda extreme but here are the choices.
1. we go to war with malaysia to reclaim Saba and 2. we will have a civil war, purge the bureaucracy and rebuild the country ala singapore. we will have a semi democratic/authoritarian government.

reason for number 1.
Sabah has always been a subject of contention because our records show that sulu has jurisdiction over it but for some reason, malaysia claims it because it was part of their territory rented by the British and turned over to them. now, if you were familiar with the news, many Pinoys are there working legally and illegally and mostly Muslims but for some reason, Malaysian customs and immigration officials abuse our brethren just because they were illegals. therefore, with the continuation of this inhumane treatment, if i am the President, i will ask the Congress to declare war against the Malaysians and reinstate the reservists and draft every citizen available for this mission. the press secretary will create a propaganda stating that patriotism and nationalism must be mustered by every Filipino because Sabah was taken from us. we must get what is ours.throughout the country, there should be a sound system constantly reminding us to enlist and help reclaim what is ours, remind the country that despite the lack of armaments during WW2, we fought the Japanese till the very end.that way, passion for our country will be reawakened.

reason for number 2.

because of animosity among factions of the government, the other faction (composed of governors and congressmen) will secede from the country by declaring a withdrawal of support from the government of the Philippines and creates a new nation. the president then convenes whats left of Congress and orders the military to take action and arrest all of the traitors. the rebellious faction however has the support of their constituents and will bare arms for their
newly founded nation. so this action will plunge the country into civil war and whoever wins the war will have the task of rebuilding the country, unifying it and institute a semi democratic/authoritarian government.
you see one of the problems of our country is our lack of discipline. so if the government is strong and really enforces the law and punishes without question those who have done wrong, everything will be different. take for example, singapore.
plus, the bureaucracy will be run corporate style. only the best will be able to serve the government. stringent selection processes must be in place. meritocracy is the only gauge for promotions and cabinet positions must be manned by public servants who rose through the ranks in that particular department. no outsiders allowed. only then can our nation move forward. it will just take a little determination from our part, citizens of the Philippines.

Subic Rape Case ---Was there really a rape to begin with?

this is my opinion with the current uproar of some women's groups and the victim's claim that she was touched/raped by one of the marines she went out with. my only question, why did she go there in the first place? according to some of the TV news reports i have seen, her sister or half sister works at a bar in Angeles as a GRO (go figure) and she went there to visit her. and in the course of her visitation, marines on leave were there havin a good time. so even if we think that she is not a GRO, her being there reflects poorly of her reputation because it doesnt matter whether your there to visit someone because they view women here as mere playthings. i mean she could have set up a different venue for their meeting and why didnt she do that? therefore, she had intent as well to have a good time. so when the marines and "Nicole" were busy drinking, it eventually led to you know what. i mean no sane woman would go to a night club full of American Servicemen unless she had something in mind. c'mon, lets not be all too naive bout this. because of what happened to her shes blaming them? my theory is maybe she filed a case because she was thrown out of the car. she was humiliated..but that doesn't mean there was rape. i think this is her way of getting back at them. what do you think? one more thing, media hungry and self righteous women groups like (you know which one) is riding on the bandwagon to pursue this case because were being abused blahblah.
i recall one time when a fierce commentator lambasted this group on his tv show for not helping the REAL rape victims he brought to them for assistance. their excuse was their busy with the Subic Rape Case. what an excuse indeed! they claim that they are advocates of abused women's rights and yet they choose who they want to help? i mean..wow.. they had the audacity to claim that they are working for the interests of the Filipino women... there is only one word i can say..hypocrite.
no wonder they accuse the prosecutors assigned to them of being biased against them. who could blame them? there is NO CASE. i mean, even a priest thought so too. he commented that it was just a couple of Marines havin a good time.. and it has just gotten out of hand. imagine a priest uttering these comments.
therefore, i let you say your opinions as well. i reiterate that this is just my opinion and does not reflect the sentiments of the majority.thank you.

Hail Mary Squad spoils Tiger's Win

All the while i have been thinking that this would be a boring season with the absence of my alma maters arch-rival but i was dead wrong. UST gave my school a run for their money after we clobbered them badly during their first meeting. both schools have a long history..although not in basketball rivalry but competition of both school's congregation started way back, when they were busy evangelizing the country. this is just a trivia but the Dominicans, as they are commonly known had an axe to grind with the Jesuits and the former being very close to the Spanish colonial government, had them expelled from the Spanish colonies with the charge of heresy because the Jesuits were praticing the natural sciences. what a way to drive out competition. haha. good thing that Catherine the Great of Russia welcomed the Jesuits and from there, they were able to reestablish and regroup the order after being nearly wiped out. haha. well, enough with history.
yesterday, i was sitting infront of the TV with my 2 siblings...eagerly waiting for the game, being unable to go to Araneta to watch it with other schoolmates/fans. early on the game went on to be just fine, both teams firing basket after basket. when fourth quarter came, the real game starts to unfold. streaks of yellow and blue ballons starts to ripple and both the schools fans are jumping in excitement. Rosaries were held on by people, praying for their teams to win. (this is obvious of course, both schools being devout Catholic universities.) i for one thinks that UST is hungry for the championship trophy. they last won it in 1996 but i doubt that Ateneo would let them have it this year.hehehe. the sad thing is after allan evangelista sank a fade away shot with 1 sec left, they celebrated too early. Derek Fisher disappointed the Spurs fans with a game winning triple with .4 seconds left. imagine.....4 seconds. in 1 second, anything can happen. so we kept our fingers crossed, hoped for a miracle to happen and it came true in the person of the former Mr. Butterfingers, Doug Kramer!! hahaha. who would have thought that he scored the game winning shot! Nowadays, we can really call him a hero. he has come a long way from being a so-so player during my freshman year into a capable power forward..able to deliver when he is needed the most.
one last thing, is cheska garcia one of his lucky charms?hahaha. we can only guess.

The Defrauding of our Nurses... and our Country

Philippines -- land of cheaters. this is all too familiar not to be heard by any normal Filipino but truth be told i am beginning to think that there is a truth to this monicker. first up, the president of the country herself cheated her way to win the presidency..and our baseball little leaguers falsified their birth certificates and now, nursing board exams answers were leaked to some review centers. why is this? is there an end to this? right now, the main issue that hounds our country is the eligibility of the 17 thousand or so nurses who are waiting for their oath taking to become full fledge nurses but this recent scandal casts a shadow of doubt to their capabilities. it is very difficult to determine who cheated and who passed honestly. however, in the spirit of fairness, THERE SHOULD BE A RETAKE of exams. this is a serious matter. these people are health care professionals and i personally dont want a cheater taking care of me and i dont think foreigners are willing to employ them as well. let us rectify this mistake and let them retake the exams. its a hassle but its the only way to see who's in and who's not. healthcare professionals should be sure of what they are doing, not go around second guessing what they ought to do. Nurses are one of our biggest human resource export and its just right that we ensure their quality to perform. after all. our country will be the one who will benefit from their proficiency.

I got to see this movie during its first run in Eastwood and I have to say that this is in time with the current political and social dilemma in the Middle East. The violence is what i mean of course. Set during the 1972 Olympic Games, this is the story of Avner and his Revenge Squad whose clandestine operations for Israel, codenamed "Operation Wrath of God", brought both justice and moral repercussions to the agents. It clearly mirrors the endless waves of violence that besieges Israel and its continued retaliations to Palestinians and vice versa. It also highlights the lack of remorse for both parties in their quest to fulfill their "just causes" even at the expense of innocent lives. This is a good eye opener to almost everyone in the world who experiences either minor or major forms of violence and that the only way to achieve peace is not through armed conflict. As the saying goes, violence begets violence.

The Godfather Trilogy

Probably one of the Best Crime Dramas i have ever seen. this tells the story of the Corleone Family, their struggles and their pursuit of legalizing their "family business" sans the betrayals, assassinations and murder of enemies of the family. the center of it all is the new Don, the reluctant Michael Corleone who just came back from the war as a marine officer and promised not to delve into the affairs of his father. for me, the story truly captures the importance of loyalty to family and being courageous in times of crisis. the maintenance of honor is what made their family persevere throughout the turbulent times. this is definitely a must see for everyone.

This movie is really good because the characters life are interwoven with each other and the psychological barriers they have created for their new identities begins to consume them. Definitely a must see for crime movie addicts!!!

Is Peter Cayetano the new Chiz Escudero?

Yesterday, the First Gentlemen filed a libel case with the QC prosecutors office against Cong. Peter Cayetano of Taguig - Pateros. This in connection with the latter's accusation that the First Family has secret bank accounts in Germany "stolen" from our country's coffers. Sadly , Cong. Cayetano cannot produce any solid evidence to back his claims. In lawyer speak, this is what we call hearsay. In common tongue..this is what we call "chismis". He is a gossip monger. He is saying these things because he has a personal agenda. At this point i can already see their purpose with their constant frothing of the mouth, to enable themlselves to be noticed by the public of their "sincere" objectives in exposing the supposed anomalies. yeah..right. this is all too familiar. i am thinking that since Chiz is done with his part, they talked and agreed that its Mr. Cayetano's turn to make some noise. I am tired with this recurring tune in Philippine politics and i think most Filipinos are tired too. Why dont we move on and forget the past?After all, that is what Filipinos are known for, being "pusong mamon". case in point, in World War 2, we despised the Japanese so much for their brutality but after a few years, figuratively speaking, we welcome them with our arms wide open....and legs as well. so i cant see why we cant replicate this. just a thought, if we keep on looking back on our mistakes, i am telling you, Philippines will always be the same.
